Consent Agenda Items:

Regular & Retreat Board minutes

Financials, bills, investments, and employee travel expenditures

Grant Agenda items:

Two grant applications will be presented for approval in October. One funding acceptance is for GAST (Grant of Agriculture Science Teachers) and the second one to submission to AmeriCorp for RSVP.

Business Agenda Items:

The committee discuss the business agenda items being presented in October. They included

The intent to issue $5,100,000 funding bonds, and hold a public hearing

Abatement the tax levied for the year 2021 to pay debt service on the General Obligation Bonds ( Chevron project )

The intent to levy the equity adjustment for the 2021 tax year

Adopt a resolution and certificate to levy tax for Protection, Health, and Safety Projects

Award the erosion repairs & storm drain installation to Zanger Excavating

Approval of the Collective Bargaining Agreement through 2026

Discussion Items:

Follow-up thoughts were noted from the September 27 Board fall retreat. These items were shared with the Executive Committee members and will be included in the table folder.

Governor’s Mandates/Progressive Discipline - The progressive discipline topic and Right of Conscience Act continues to be reviewed and discussed. Many factors are under consideration. The College continues to put forth a good faith effort in honoring the mandate.

The committee heard the first week of testing was complete. The week of October 11 begins our 2nd week of testing. Discussions and reminders will be made with non-compliant individuals after the first week of testing.

As a result of first week testing, one student, one employee was positive.

Board Policy - The individual members of the Board who volunteered to review the Board policies prior to HLC accreditation will meet to develop a strategy to accomplish this goal. Administration will check with ICCTA on templates/policies for direction.

Board Christmas plans – The Executive Committee discussed this with no final determination.
