Liberty Community Unit School District 2 Board of Education met Sept. 8.
Here is the agenda provided by the board:
1. Call to Order and Roll Call.
2. Recognition of Visitors and Staff - a limit of ten minutes per group
Public Comment - This is the only time of this meeting open for public comment.
3. Discussion Items to be added to the Agenda.
4. Meeting in Closed Session on the following subjects: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees , specific individuals who serve as independent contractors, or specific volunteers of the School District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on complaint lodged against and employee, a specific individual who serves, as an independent contractor, or a volunteer of the District.; b) collective negotiating matters between the School District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberation salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; c) the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the District; d) the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the District; e) the sale or purchase of securities, investments, or investment contracts; f) emergency security procedures; g) student disciplinary cases; h) the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students; i) pending, probable, or imminent litigation; j) evaluation of attorney; k) approval of certain closed session minutes for distribution to the public; l.) attorney/client privileges or other matters appropriate for a closed meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act.
5. Consider and Take Action on the current Opening School Plan for 2021-22 regarding mask mandate.
6. Discuss the Procedure for 5/6th graders being added to the junior high rosters for sports, as recommended by the Athletic Director.
7. Approve the Personnel Report.
8. The Board reserves the right to take up, consider and act upon any other and further matters necessary to convenient for the orderly operation of the district and its schools.
