Village of Mendon Village Board Met May 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Mendon Village Board of Trustees met in regular session in the Village Office. The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by Village Mayor David Wittler. Trustees present were: Buss, Cannell, King, and Moore. Village Superintendent Cantrell and Village Clerk Woodruff were present. There were no guests present.

The results of the April 6, 2021, election were read by Village Clerk Woodruff  as submitted in Canvass of Votes by Adams County Clerk Ryan Niekamp 
David Wittler - Mayor - 31 Votes
Susan Woodruff - Village Clerk - 29 Votes
Adam Buss - Trustee – 33 Votes
Dale King - Trustee 31 Votes
Aaron Wittler - Trustee 26 Votes
The Winners were Declared 
Mayor David Wittler and Village Clerk Susan Woodruff took the Oath of Office at the Mendon VillageOffice  on May 3, 2021 (the 1st Business day of the new fiscal year) 
Oaths of Office were taken by Trustee Buss and King. 
Certificates of Election were presented to all following the Oaths
A copy of the results and the signed oaths are attached to and made a part of these minutes

To accept the resignation of newly elected trustee Aaron  Wittler due to his having moved out of the village since  being nominated for the trustee position.

To appoint Hilary Wittler Bastert and Alex Keefe to fill  the trustee positions of Aaron Wittler and David Wittler.  Both positions will be for 2 years and those positions will  come up for election at the next Consolidated Election in  2023.

∙ Ordinance Notices Regarding - Vehicles will be moved this week, Vehicle has been moved but still on the property, made contact regarding truck and old tires, yard has been mowed, another yard still needs to be mowed as of 5/12/21, contacted numbers listed – no answer ∙ Paper Service negative contact

∙ Reported Fire Chief Simmons had been in contact about calls for a  resident burning items – letter to be sent regarding Ordinance Violation

∙ Contact Lawyer regarding Mobile Home Ordinance – No new licenses  to any new owners (only renewals for current owners)
