QJHS Elevator Repair

Superintendent Webb explained the only elevator at Quincy Junior High School malfunctioned on June 7, 2021. The elevator is critical to the junior high and our students. We have several students that are in wheelchairs. We also deliver meals and supplies using the elevator. The junior high has 1500 students and 100 staff. This is the only elevator for ADA accessibility.

This is considered an emergency and we will be using an authorized service agent, Barnard Elevator, so a bid is not necessary. The cost is estimated to be approximately $50,000.
