Liberty Community Unit School District #2 Board of Education Met May 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Adams/Pike County, IL The regular meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Members present: Barry,Baucom, Clark, Mixer, Poulter, Sims, and Voga. 7 present 0 absent. Also present: Kelle Bunch, Justin Edgar, Jody Obert, Michael Smith, Krista Tenhouse, Tamra Longlett, Andrea Akers and Allen Flynn.

Allen Flynn left at 6:50 p.m. Joel Mixer left at 6:55 p.m. Krista Tenhouse left at 7:10 p.m.

Motion by Clark, seconded by Baucom that the board of education approve the Routine Consent Agenda. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Clark, Poulter, Sims and Voga. 6 ayes 0 nays. M.C.

Motion by Clark, seconded by Voga that the board of education approve the consent agenda and approve the firm pricing on the milk bid. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Clark, Poulter, Sims and Voga. 6 ayes 0 nays. M.C.

Motion by Baucom, seconded by Clark that the board of education approve the recommendation from the Facilities Committee on construction in the High School Office. The actual bid will be approved after the letting and approval by the board of education. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Clark, Poulter, Sims and Voga. 6 ayes 0 nays. M.C.

Joel Mixer re-entered the meeting at 8:00 p.m.

Tamra Longlett and Andrea Akers left at 8:10 p.m.

Motion by Clark, seconded by Voga that the board go into closed session. Time: 8:15 p.m. Meeting in Closed Session on the following subjects: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors, or specific volunteers of the School District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves, as an independent contractor, or a volunteer of the District.; b) collective negotiating matters between the School District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; c) the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the District; d) the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the District; e) the sale or purchase of securities, investments, or investment contracts; f) emergency security procedures; g) student disciplinary cases; h) the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students; i) pending, probable, or imminent litigation; j) evaluation of attorney; k) approval of certain closed session minutes for distribution to the public; or other matters appropriate for a closed meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Clark, Mixer, Poulter, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes 0 nays. M.C.

Motion by Clark, seconded by Voga that the board of education go out of closed session. Time: 8:33 p.m. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Clark, Mixer, Poulter, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes 0 nays. M.C

Motion by Baucom, seconded by Sims that the board of education approve the personnel report, as attached. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Clark, Mixer, Poulter, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes 0 nays. M.C

Motion by Clark, seconded by Voga that the board of education adjourn. Time: 8:39 p.m. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Clark, Mixer, Poulter, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes 0 nays. M.C
