QUINCY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Dogwood Weekend is Back!

Announcement

Quincy Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Apr. 19. 

We are pleased to announce the return on Dogwood Weekend, with activities hosted by various organizations and businesses.

During the weekend, the Quincy Area Chamber is happy to host the annual Dogwood Parade. Thank you to our Major Sponsor for the Dogwood Blessing Health System and our silver sponsor Right to Life. We look forward to this year’s parade!

Below is the schedule for the 2021 Dogwood Weekend, brought to you by various businesses and organizations. Weekend events are subject to change. Check back for continuous updates.

Thursday, April 29

  • TBA p.m. | Little King and Queen of Dogwood Pageant, Quincy Mall Center Court.
Friday, April 30

  • Noon – 1:15 p.m. | Concerts in the Plaza, First Mid-Illinois Bank Plaza next to St. Boniface Church. Between 6th and 7th on Maine St.
  • Noon – 1:15 p.m. | Newcomer Mingle during Concerts in the Plaza. Welcome all newcomers to the area to enjoy live music, BYO or Food Truck lunch & refreshments.
  • TBA p.m. family-friendly block party at St. James Lutheran Church.
Saturday, May 1

  • 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Quincy Farmer’s Market opens in Washington Park.
  • 9:20 a.m. | Blessing Health System Dogwood Parade, 24th and Maine, proceeds west to 6th St.
  • 10:30 am | Newcomer Dogwood Parade Mingle at Quincy Brewing Company, 110 N 6th St. All newcomers welcome to meet each other and learn more about the Quincy area.
