Istock 000010436389 medium

Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Mar. 3.

Blessing Hospital in Quincy and Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield will be expanding visiting hours beginning Wednesday, March 3 at 8:00 am. Inpatients will be allowed one visitor between 8 am and 8 pm. However, we ask that you respect our "quiet time hours" between 2 pm and 4 pm so that our patients can rest. New access will be limited during that time.  We will continue to follow visitor processes that are in place now to protect the safety of patients, employees and the public, but look forward to offering the extended visitor hours to the public.

Visitors should continue to use the main entrance at 11th and Spring streets to enter Blessing Hospital.  Visitors for inpatients must be 18 years of age or older. Visitors are required to bring a driver’s license or state issued photo ID to be permitted into the building. All visitors will receive a mask and be required to wear it during their visit. No visitors are allowed on the Skilled Nursing Unit.

Dining options will continue to be limited for visitors.  The Tea Room and Cafeteria are closed to visitors, but several options remain available for visitors including:

-BH Java at the main entrance

-Vending machines located throughout the building

-Guest food trays are available to purchase for visitors through patient room service

For additional information please view our full Visitor Guidelines.
