BLESSING HEALTH SYSTEM: Blessing nurse retires after 38 year career

Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Feb. 13. 

Cathy Aschemann, RN, BSN, clinical documentation specialist, Health Information Management department, Blessing Hospital, retired on Friday, February 19, after 38 years of service.

Aschemann began her career as a nurse in the Special Care Area, which included the intensive, intermediate and coronary care units. She accepted the role of night shift supervisor for the Special Care Area in 1987, and was later named interim director of the ICU/IMC. In 2004, Aschemann accepted the position from which she retired in Health Information Management.

She is a graduate of the Blessing School of Nursing and Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing.
