Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Dec. 30.
Patient Libbey Southward submitted a nomination form recognizing Dr. Pam Friye, BPS Clinic Physician, OB/GYN, with a Blessing Foundation Who’s Your Angel award. Dr. Friye received her “Who’s Your Angel” certificate and angel wing pin from Scott Koelliker, EVP/BPS, Blessing Corporate Services and Tena Awerkamp, Director, Primary Care Services, BPS Administration.
Libbey stated, “Dr. Friye is an amazing physician. She made me feel so valued, heard and cared for as a patient, even with all the craziness of COVID-19. She was extremely patient, kind and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. I always imagined labor to be stressful, painful and hard but Dr. Friye made it relaxing, memorable and fun. She always has a smile on her face and a kind word to say. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Friye!”
The “Who’s Your Angel” program is an opportunity for patients and their families to express their appreciation to anyone in the Health System who had a positive influence in their healthcare experience. When the donor makes a financial gift of any size in the name of the employee and writes up a story sharing the experience, the Foundation deposits the gift to the patient care area or restricted fund that most closely matches the employee(s) being honored or the reason for the patient’s time with the Health System. This donation was deposited to the Blessed Beginnings/Obstetrics Fund. One hundred percent of Foundation gifts are designated to caring for patients in need.
Any staff member can be nominated for a Who’s Your Angel award, and nomination forms can be found in over 35 different departments within the Health System, from Palmyra to Pittsfield, to Golden and more!
