Payson-Fall Creek FPD responds to 29 fires in 2018

Payson-Fall Creek Fire Protection District responded to 31 calls in 2018 - 10.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Payson-Fall Creek included 29 fires - seven structure fires, one vehicle fire and 21 other fires.

In all, the department saw $99,000 in fire loss - or about $3,414 per fire.

The department also received two false calls, including one malicious call and one other false calls.

The Payson-Fall Creek Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $168,175 in 2018.
