City of Quincy issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE:
Each residential household is eligible for the HERO program as long as the household is a Quincy water customer (limit one credit per household).
A total of $150 (pre-tax) must be spent at qualifying non-essential retail stores and/or restaurants to qualify for the one-time water bill credit of $25 (Up to 4,000 credits will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis). Purchases from multiple stores, multiple purchases from the same store, and/or the purchase of gift cards may be combined to reach the $150 pre-tax threshold.
The purchases from qualifying businesses must be made from July 6, 2020 through August 31, 2020. Original store receipts (with pre-tax spending amount) must be submitted with the water bill credit request form.
