City of Quincy issued the following announcement on Aug. 6.

Based on the advice of the Adams County Health Department, the City of Quincy will allow Council members and committee members to attend meetings online. All meetings will be closed to the public, but available online.

City facilities will remain open for the time being, but facilities may close if the disease burden continues to increase in our community. The City of Quincy makes the health and wellness of our team members and constituents our utmost priority. It is our hope, when the health of our community improves, we can return to meetings which our residents are able to attend in person.

Residents are encouraged to follow the meeting schedule and agenda on the city’s website with information to access meetings remotely.
