City of Quincy recently issued the following announcement.

Please be advised that beginning on Monday, August 17, 2020, Elm Street between 28th and 30th Streets will be closed to through traffic.
Laverdiere Construction will begin the replacement of water and sewer mains and reconstruction of Elm Street between 28th and 30th Streets. Residents on Elm Street will have vehicle access to their homes throughout the duration of the project except when workers are in the immediate area of your home. This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-November.
The City of Quincy and its road construction contractors would like to remind residents to drive carefully near construction work zones and to use alternate travel routes when possible. Please do not attempt to drive through any area where workers are present and never move barricades in order to reach your destination. Worker and public safety is our number one priority.
