Quincy Medical Group issued the following announcement on July 23.
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is pleased to announce an expansion to the QMG Cancer Institute with the addition of Radiation Oncology. Michael Fallon, M.D., board-certified Radiation Oncologist, recently joined the QMG Cancer Institute team.
Dr. Fallon will work in partnership with the QMG Cancer Institute’s Medical Oncology providers including M. Amjad Ali, M.D.; Christian Khoury, M.D.; Karthik Koduru, M.D.; Raymond Smith, M.D.; and Vitor Pastorini, M.D. Together, the team brings over 100 years of experience providing local patients with the latest treatment options.
“As a new component of the QMG Cancer Institute, Radiation Medicine will offer an impressive array of clinical and highly conformal radiation procedures critical to the comprehensive care of patients throughout the courses of their treatment and recovery,” Dr. Fallon said. “As applied to the field of oncology, Radiation Medicine is integral to the management of cancer in both curative and palliative settings.”
Dr. Fallon received his medical degree from the State University of New York Stony Brook Medical School and completed his residency in radiation oncology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since 1981, QMG has provided cancer care to the local region. In March, the QMG Cancer Institute opened at 3301 Broadway in Quincy. The state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility provides comprehensive care to patients, including clinical trials to help ensure patients have access to the latest advances in cancer treatment, as well as support programs that help patients navigate challenges associated with a cancer diagnosis.
