Village of Mendon Village Board met April 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the coard:

The Mendon Village Board of Trustees met in regular session in the Mendon Township Town Hall (Due to the state requirement for social distancing due to the corona virus outbreak). The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Village Mayor Dean Woodruff. Trustees present were King, Moore, Voss, and Wittler. Absent – Buss and Cannell. Village Superintendent Cantrell and Village Clerk Woodruff were present. Bill Dorethy, Unity High School Principal, was also in attendance.

Public Comments

 Mayor Dean Woodruff presented Principal Bill Dorethy with a check for $5,000 to be given to Unity Seniors in 5 - $1,000 Village Scholarships

Second: Moore

Action Vote: All – Aye – Motion Carried

Motion: King

Second: Voss

To approve the bills and payroll as presented and recommended by the finance committee.

Action Vote: All – Aye – Motion Carried

Deputy's Report

 Verbal disturbance

Other Business

 Discussion regarding next year budget – we have reserves that the board felt should be used to help maintain the budget.

To transfer $75,000 from the General Fund Act # 5952 Capital Outlay Fund to the Sewer Account for future use on the North Lift Station.

Action Vote: All – Aye – Motion Carried

Motion: Wittler

Second: Voss

To transfer funds from the Water Fund to the General Fund to reimburse the General Fund for 50% of the Secretary and Treasurer Salaries and 50% of the Village Superintendent Salary - figures based on final payroll for 2019-2020 fiscal year a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes

Action Vote: All – Aye – Motion Carried

Second: Voss

To amend the Budget Item #6013 trustees salaries to reflect the correct yearly amount of $10,800 yearly, and Budget Item #6011 Clerk salary to $3,300 to reflect the correctly year amount – both of which were approved to start in 2017, but which were not implemented.

Action Vote: All – Aye – Motion Carried

Motion: Voss

Second: King

To approve employee salaries for 2020-21, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes.

Action Vote: All - Aye with the exception of Darla Moore who abstained. – Motion Carried.

Other Business

 Adams County Together Resource Team Dates Discussed – will meet at Mendon Township Hall

To adjourn to the next regularly scheduled meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:58 PM
