Analysis: Quincy pays $7.67 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Quincy Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88.5 percent of the $3,522,300 the Quincy Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.67 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Quincy Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Quincy contributed $3,116,182 to the fund, which saw a $368,278 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $406,119, or 11.5 percent, in 2018.
