Analysis: Quincy pays $5.19 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Quincy Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.9 percent of the $3,365,720 the Quincy Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.19 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Quincy Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Quincy contributed $2,822,719 to the fund, which saw a $458,982 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $543,001, or 16.1 percent, in 2018.
