Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on June 24.
People with a doctor’s order for an outpatient radiology or lab test at Blessing Health System, and who want to get their care on a weekend, now go to the Blessing Health Center 4800 Maine in Quincy instead of the Diagnostic Center at the Blessing Health Center 927 Broadway. The Diagnostic Center is now open Monday-Friday only.
The location for weekend outpatient radiology and lab services was changed because the Blessing Health Center 4800 Maine offers more radiology procedures on weekends at the lower outpatient cost than are available at the Diagnostic Center, including Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), with additional testing options to be added over the coming months.
Outpatient radiology and lab services are available at the Blessing Health Center 4800 Broadway from 8 am to 4 pm Saturday; Noon to 4 pm Sunday; and 6 am to 6:30 pm Monday-Friday. There is a marked entrance for use by those getting diagnostic and imaging services on the south side of the building.
The Diagnostic Center in the Blessing Health Center at 927 Broadway remains open Monday through Friday from 6 am to 6:30 pm. Enter the building through the West Entrance.
