City of Quincy City Council met March 23.

RESOLUTION

A resolution regarding City actions in response to COVID -19 declarations

PETITION

A revocable permit application for encroachment of city right-of-way from The People’s Choice Thrift Shop, 120 North 5th St. requesting permission to place items for sale on the City sidewalk in front of the business March 26, 2020 through April 4, 2020 during normal business hours. The City Engineer presents this request subject to five conditions.

RESOLUTIONS

Central Services Director, Engineering and Utilities Director, and the Central Services Committee recommending approval of the low quote from Leffers Landscape & Nursery Inc. in the amount of $32,773.00 for lawn maintenance of all city owned properties and certain right-of-way locations.

Chief of Police and the Police Aldermanic Committee recommending approval of the low quote from Illinois School Supply to purchase office furniture in the amount of $9,370.00.

Chief of Police and Police Aldermanic Committee recommending approval to purchase fifteen ballistic vest packages off the State of Illinois Bid List from Uniform Den of Moline, IL for a total cost of $8,265.50.

Aeronautics Committee, the Airport Director, and Purchasing Agent recommending approval of the proposal from Luby Equipment Services in the amount of $36,796.12 for a new generator.

Airport Director, Aeronautics Committee and the Purchasing Agent recommending of the low bid of Smith Brothers in the amount of $18,553.01 for the purchase of a 2020 Honda Pioneer UTV.

A Resolution Affirming The City’s COVID – 19 Response.

ORDINANCE

Adoption of an Ordinance entitled:

An Ordinance Vacating An Alley. (20’ wide north-south public alley located in the city block bounded by South 20th, South 21st, Washington and Jefferson Streets.)
