Quincy Medical Group issued the following announcement on Feb. 8.
Recently, the Quincy Medical Group Healthcare Foundation supported Mt. Sterling Community Center YMCA's "Fit to Fight," a specific exercise program for cancer fighters and survivors. According to Mt. Sterling YMCA Branch Executive Director Jeff Summers, the support of the QMG Healthcare Foundation helps provide a three-month free membership for individuals who enroll in the 16-week program.
"Fit to Fight" also includes a QMG-led support group the first Friday of every month, and the program will be offered three times this year. The photo below (courtesy of the Mt. Sterling YMCA) includes those involved in "Fit to Fight" (L to R): Joe Burch, Judy Meats, Kelly Blackwell, Cathy Bader, and personal trainer Alison Llewellyn.
Quincy Medical Group established the QMG Healthcare Foundation in 2007 to give back to the communities it serves. Funds raised by the Foundation are invested in programs, partnerships, and projects that enhance the health of our communities, support development, and positively impact youth.
