City of Quincy City Council met Jan. 21.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

PETITION

By the following organizations requesting to hold a raffle and have the bond requirement waived: Quincy Firefighters Local 63 from now until 1/21/2021 and the American Business Women’s Assoc. from now until 2/22/2020; South Side Boat Club from 2/1/2020 to 1/30/2021. The City Clerk recommends approval of the permits.

RESOLUTIONS

Resolution Authorizing Agreement For Payment In Lieu Of Taxes For Quincy Housing Authority And Quincy Ball LLC, was tabled by Ald. Uzelac for one week.

Chief of Police recommending approval that Quincy police canine Kilo be officially retired and transferred to his handler, Officer Raymond “Mike” Tyler, who is prepared to humanely care for Kilo for the rest of his life.

Comptroller to plan the new fiscal year budget with Garbage and Recycle as Enterprise Funds and to move the remaining Central Services divisions to the General Fund.

Central Services Director recommending the procurement of road salt for the 2019-2020 snow and ice season with the unit price per ton of $69.26 and a requested amount of 200 tons, totaling in the amount of $13,852.

Central Services Director, Utilities and Engineering Director and Central Services Committee recommending approval to purchase two (2) 2021 Mack rear loading garbage trucks from R.N.O.W. Inc. of West Allis, WI in the amount of $411,782.

Utilities and Engineering Director and Utilities Committee recommending approval to have the City enter into a Sewer Extension Reimbursement Agreement with Timothy G. Schmidt, Dale H. Wiewel and Leroy A. Klauser, for an amount not to exceed the cost of construction ($231,953.71), or a term of twenty (20) years, concerning the sewer system along east Broadway near the Hickory Grove Subdivision.

ORDINANCE Second presentation of an Ordinance entitled:

An Ordinance Amending the 2019-2020 Fiscal Year Budget. (Increased Revenue through a State Grant in the amount of $48,000 to be used for documented expenses related to a complete census count and reach “Hard to Count” populations.)

First presentation of an Ordinance entitled:

An Ordinance Amending The 2019-2020 Fiscal Year Budget. (Increase Treasurer Contracted Services $45,200, Garbage Tote Sales $18,000 and Operational Supplies (garbage tote) $18,000.)
