Quincy Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 24.
On 12/21/19, the Quincy Police Department was sent to an address in the 600 Block of S 7th Street, Quincy, IL to assist the ambulance with a medical call. Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel found an unresponsive infant, approximately 2 months old, who was later pronounced deceased at the residence by medical personnel. On 12/22/19, an autopsy was completed on the 2 month old in Bloomington, IL. Quincy Police Investigators are currently working with the coroner's office, DCFS, and medical personnel as this is still an active investigation.
"These Charges, as well as the statements herein, are based upon probable cause. The defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty."
