Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.
Are you new to Quincy and between the ages of 18 and 40? Are you a young professional who has started a new career? Do you desire to build your leadership skills, make connections, and serve the community? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you should join the Chamber’s YP group! The YP, or Young Professionals of the Quincy Area, meet once a month. The meetings are usually over the lunch hour and include a meal and a program. Past programs have included learning to serve on a board, learning about service clubs in the community, and meeting government officials. Sometimes instead of a monthly meeting, YP members serve the community, like when the group volunteers at Q-Fest in June. YP also hosts an annual “Good News of Christmas Mingle Jingle” to raise money for a family in need.
