Village of Mendon Board of Trustees met May 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Mendon Village Board of Trustees met in regular session on Thursday, May 9, 2019, in the Village Office. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Village Mayor Dean Woodruff. Trustees present were Buss, Cannell, Moore, Voss, and Wittler. Trustee King arrived at 7:15. Village Superintendent Cantrell, and Village Clerk Woodruff were present and there were no guests.

The results of the April 2, 2019, election were read by Village Clerk Woodruff as submitted in Canvass of Votes by Adams County Clerk Chuck Venvertloh Registered Voters 600 – Ballots Cast 226 = 37.66%

Daron Cannell R – 171, David Wittler – 172, Darla Moore – 144

The Winners were Declared and the Oaths of Office were taken by all newly elected officials. Certificates of Election were presented to all following the Oaths

A copy of the results and the signed oaths are attached to and made a part of these minutes

Motion To set the meeting dates for the second Thursday of each month in the Village Office at 7pm. A copy of the dates is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Committee appointments were also announced and approved. A copy of the committee assignments is also attached to and made a part of these minutes

Motion To approve the minutes of the April 11, 2019, meeting as read.

Motion To approve the bills and payroll as presented and recommended by the finance committee for the period April 12th through April 30th.

Motion To Amend the 2018-2019 Budget as presented, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes

Motion To approve Mendon Village Ordinance 311.19 – Bulk Water Rates an ordinance amending Ordinance 311.15 which amended Ordinance 336.06 Section 8a WATER RATES in the Village of Mendon, Adams County, Illinois,and fixing bulk rates and charges for Water Services furnished by said Water Works System.
