Village of Mendon Village Board of Trustees met April 11.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Mendon Village Board of Trustees met in regular session in the Village Office. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Village Mayor Dean Woodruff. Trustees present were Buss, Cannell, Moore, Voss, and Wittler. Trustee King was absent. Village Superintendent Cantrell and Village Clerk Woodruff were also in attendance. Bill Dorethy - Unity High School Principal was in attendance to receive a check for scholarships at UHS. Preference is to be given to Mendon residents.

Motion to approve the minutes of the March 14, 2019, regular meeting, as read.

Motion - Voss

Second - Buss

All – Aye. Motion Carried.

Motion to approve the bills and payroll as presented and recommended by the finance committee.

Motion - Moore

Second - Cannell

All – Aye. Motion Carried.

Deputy's Report - Submitted

 Abandoned vehicles

 Junk car

 Traffic crash

 Dog running at large

Maintenance Superintendent's Report

 Lagoon treatment and testing discussed

 Recommendation for treatment of little cell

 Culvert pipe order and installation

 Phase 3 of sewer project to start with supplies being delivered this week

 Lots of spring maintenance projects – cleaned up Veteran’s Memorial

 Storage of pipe and rock for phase 3 of sewer project discussed

Mayor's Report

 Budget and Goals for 2019-2020 read

 Garage Sales – May 18th

 Village Clean Up date – Monday, June 3rd

 Cars and junk letters

 Burning on street issue

 Camper needs to be moved

 Discussion regarding transfer of money for end of fiscal year and amend budget for end of year

 US Census report

 Congrats to three returning trustees who will take oath of office in May.

 Set date for mobile home inspections – April 20th at noon

 Street in front of Dollar General

 Insurance inspection report

 Veterans’ groups will be visiting Veteran’s Memorials.

Motion to approve 2019-2020 Budget as presented.
