Quincy Medical Group issued the following announcement on April 25.
UPDATE: We understand that Blessing Health System released a statement indicating that they are responsible for the calls.
Quincy Medical Group has been made aware of patients and community members receiving phone calls requesting information regarding patient experiences at both QMG and Blessing, information relating to the proposed QMG Surgery Center, and Blessing’s recent joint venture proposal. QMG did not authorize these calls and is working to determine their source.
QMG reminds patients and citizens not to provide personal health information to 3rd parties who are unaffiliated with their healthcare provider.
QMG is continuing to monitor the situation. If you receive one of these calls, please report the call to QMG at 217-277-4060.
