City of Quincy issued the following announcement on May 2.
My name is Jason Finney. I moved to Quincy in middle school and have lived here a majority of my life. I graduated from Quincy Senior High School and attended Western Illinois University. I graduated with a degree in General Education with a double minor; Law Enforcement - Justice Administration and Computer Science. My wife Nikki is the Social-Emotional SAM (school administrative manager) at Rooney Elementary. We have two children Nora and Aiden. In my spare time I’m an assistant coach on a traveling Little Devils basketball team. One thing about me that people may not know is that I love movies.but no horror movies!
As alderman I will come with an open mind and not just look to keep things the same because we’ve always done things that way. Quincy has a very bright future and I’m honored and grateful to be a part of it. I look forward to serving the 3rd Ward and the great city of Quincy.
