City of Quincy issued the following announcement on April 27.
The Quincy Fire Department will be flushing fire hydrants for flow testing purposes at the following locations the week of April 29th through May 3rd:
Front & Washington Street
2nd & Jersey Street
19th & Jefferson Street
5th & Monroe Street
4th & Maine Street
24th & Jefferson Street
5th & Adams Street
3rd & Hampshire Street
6th & York Street
7th & Washington Street
6th & Jersey Street
9th & Jersey Street
16th & Jefferson Street
4th & Jefferson Street
6th & Maine Street
20th & Payson Avenue
6th & Washington Street
12th & Vermont Street
3rd & Jersey Street
11th & Payson Avenue
10th & Vermont Street
17th & York Street
12th & Adams Street
5th & Hampshire Street
Please note that during this time, residents in these areas may experience low water pressure or water discoloration. These conditions are temporary and the water will remain safe for use and consumption at all times.
