Quincy home prices fall in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Quincy fell by $11,550 while total sales increased by 57.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were 74 homes sold, with a median sale price of $91,450 - a 11.2% decrease over the $103,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 47 homes sold in Quincy in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Quincy for 2017 was $1,706. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,684. This marks an increase of 1.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
