Clayton home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Clayton rose by $27,500 while total sales remained unchanged with seven homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $70,000 - a 64.7% increase over the $42,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Clayton in the first half of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Clayton for 2017 was $674. In 2016, the median sales tax was $663. This marks an increase of 1.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1%.
