Payson home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Payson fell by $28,000 while total sales remained unchanged with seven homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $70,000 - a 28.6% decrease over the $98,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Payson in the third quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Payson for 2017 was $1,580.34. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,668.20. This marks an decrease of 5.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
