Mendon home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Mendon fell by $14,500 while total sales remained unchanged with five homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $83,000 - a 14.9% decrease over the $97,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Mendon in the third quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Mendon for 2017 was $1,618.33. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,650.60. This marks an decrease of 2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
