City of Quincy issued the following announcement on March 27.
Here is what you need to know regarding recycling.
1. The opt-in program will cost you $5 per month beginning May 1.
2. To sign up you will need to call the department of utilities with your utilities password at 217-228-4580, or come in to City Hall with a state issued ID.
3. When you opt-in you will receive a City issued sticker to place on your Orange Recycling bin. You will receive a sticker once the City selects a vendor.
4. More information will be released in the next 7-10 days.
