Unpaid fines for Quincy-based campaign committee totaled $10,000 in August 2018

One campaign committee in Quincy has overdue fines amounting to a total of $10,000, records obtained by the Quincy Reporter show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Taking Back America was the only campaign committee in Quincy that was delinquent in payment for August 2018, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The total that Taking Back America still owes comes from two fines of $5,000, both for violation of board order.
