City of Quincy issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.
Beginning at 7:00 am on Monday, February 25, 2019, the following sections of roadway will be closed to through traffic:
•5th Street, Broadway to Spring Streets, until 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2019, to allow for the repair of a failed sewer main.
•Hampshire Street, 8th to 9th Streets, until 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2019, to allow for the repair of a failed sewer main.
•Chestnut Street, 22nd to 24th Streets, until 5:00 pm Friday, March 1, 2019, to allow for the repair of a failed water main.
Motorists are reminded to drive carefully near the construction work zones and to use alternate travel routes when possible.
