QUINCY FIRE DEPARTMENT: Quincy Fire Department answers the call for Blessing Breast Center patients

Fundraising event

Quincy Fire Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 4.

Quincy Fire Department answers the call for Blessing Breast Center patients: Quincy Fire Firefighters Local 63 and Chief Joe Henning delivered $5,210.75 to the Blessing Breast Center on Monday, December 3. The money was raised through breast cancer awareness fundraising events during October 2018, including the department’s popular annual breast cancer awareness t-shirt sale. The funds will support the Blessing Breast Center Patient Financial Assistance Program. The program helps women who have no insurance or high-deductible insurance with the cost of their breast healthcare as well as basic needs like groceries, utility bills, gasoline assistance, car payments, medicine and housing.
