CITY OF QUINCY: Meet Megan Meyer, Administrative Assistant for Quincy Transit

Event

City of Quincy issued the following announcement on Nov. 18.

Meet Megan Meyer, Administrative Assistant for Quincy Transit. She has been with the City since May 2016. She does a little bit of everything from paperwork for IDOT, to grant paperwork and even answers phone calls; she receives about 100 phone calls a day! She says many people do not realize just how busy it is at Quincy Transit. "The number of stops and number of phone calls we receive has grown drastically in just a short amount of time," said Meyer. Megan was also cross-trained in the record keeping of the gas cards for City vehicles and trained to assist dispatch as needed. However, while paper work makes up a big part of her job she also delivers monthly bus passes to a number of places, and works with different places around the community to see how Quincy Transit can assist their businesses.

She says, “I like working for Quincy Transit, it is a great system. A lot of elderly people appreciate our services, and it really helps them get around town. It feels good knowing a part of my job is helping out those in the community.”
