BLESSING HEALTH SYSTEM: Blessing Hospital surgical nurse retires

Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.

Donna Schutte, RN, BSN, charge nurse, One Day Surgery, Blessing Hospital, retired on October 1 after 37 years of service.

In addition to One Day Surgery, Schutte served as an Admitting Nurse, in the surgical Prep Clinic and as a medical/surgical unit nurse during the course of her career.

She is a member of the American and Illinois Societies of PeriAnesthesia Nurses.

Schutte earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences and Culver-Stockton College. She also holds a diploma in nursing from the Blessing Hospital School of Nursing and is a nationally Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA).
