Quincy Public Library issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
Quincy Public Library is pleased to announce a donation from Lee Marie Giving. Elise Sutter, founder of Lee Marie, presented a check for $1705 to the Library. She also shared highlights from Lee Marie's June, July, & August sales -- all proceeds this quarter were given to support Quincy Public Library events and services.
Bookmarks were the signature item for this quarter, and were a HUGE hit at the Pop-up shop and online. The Pop-up shop at Quincy Public Library was a phenomenal event, raising awareness of Lee Marie Giving, as well as the Friends of the Library Secondhand Prose used bookstore. Elise heard about favorite programs and events at Quincy Public Library (Summer Reading events and the Big Read were frequently mentioned).
Donated funds will be used to support the Quincy Public Library Big Read & Little Read for 2018. Many thanks to Elise Sutter and Lee Marie Giving for supporting Quincy Public Library!
