Blessing Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 30.
Laura Wietholder, BSN, RN, Community Outreach Coordinator, Blessing Hospital, has earned certified health coach status from the American Council on Exercise.
To earn certification, Wietholder had to demonstrate proficiency in ACE requirements for development and implementation of weight-management programs for individuals who have been cleared by their physician to take part in a comprehensive weight-management program.
Wietholder earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University.
During her six years at Blessing, Wietholder has worked in Centralized Staffing, the Emergency Department and Care Coordination before joining the Marketing, Communications and Community Relations Department as Community Outreach Coordinator.
She lives in Liberty with husband John and children Jack and Ella.
