Payson-Fall Creek FPD responds to 11 fires in 2017

Payson-Fall Creek Fire Protection District responded to 12 calls in 2017 - 20 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Payson-Fall Creek included 11 fires - one structure fire and 10 other fires.

In all, the department saw $40,000 in fire loss - or about $3,636 per fire.

The department also received one false call, including one malicious call.

The Payson-Fall Creek Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $66,514 in 2017.
