Analysis: Quincy pays $3.97 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Quincy Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.9 percent of the $2,661,324 the Quincy Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.97 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Quincy Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Quincy contributed $2,126,886 to the fund, which saw a $227,856 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $534,438, or 20.1 percent, in 2016.
