Call to Order and Roll Call
The Southeastern Community Unit District #337 Board of Education met in regular session on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in the Board of Education Office in Augusta, Illinois. Mark Hitz, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Roll Call verified that there was a quorum of the Board of Education with the following members present and absent as listed below:

Approval of Minutes
On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member Henry, the Board of Education approved the minutes from the April 23, 2025 regular meeting and closed session.

Public Participation
A parent addressed the board regarding the sports co-op being discussed with Illini West.
Special Recognition
Principal Tim Kerr presented the Board Excellence Awards: IJAS State Science Fair Results, KHQA Student Athlete of the Week, John Wood Community College Welding Certificates, John Wood Community College Truck Driver Training Program receiving CDL, Scholarship Recipients, DAR Good Citizen Award, Southeastern Way Award Recipients, Class of 2025 Salutatorian, and Class of 2025 Valedictorians.
Financial
Superintendent Lantz reviewed the monthly financial snapshot which shows we are 83% into the fiscal year. We have received 107% of our budgeted revenue and have spent 83% of our budgeted expenditures.
On a motion by Member Stephens and a second by Member Bunnell, the Board of Education approved the bills, financial statements, and activity funds.

Informational Items
Superintendent Lantz reviewed the tax computation sheets.
Superintendent Lantz discussed high school graduation which will be held May 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Superintendent Lantz reviewed the sports cooperatives.

Administrative Reports were given by Mr. Rigg who gave IESA and IHSA update. Mr. Kerr reported on the proposed schedule for next year. Mr. Gooding stated there have been several field trips and activities and things have gone very well. Superintendent Lantz stated it’s been a very busy May, and we have been able to provide many opportunities for our students.
Action Items
On a motion by Member Bunnell and a second by Member Tippey, the Board of Education directed the superintendent to advertise for bid openings for bread, milk, and fuel for the 2025-2026 school year.
