Quincy Park District Board of Commissioners met May 14.

The Finance Committee of the Board of Commissioners of the Quincy Park District held a Finance Committee meeting in the Conference Room at 1231 Bonansinga Drive, Quincy, IL. Those present included: Chair Vice-President Holthaus, President Philpot, Commissioner Hickman.
Staff in attendance included: Executive Director – Rome Frericks, Director of Business Services - Brian Earnest and Director of Marketing/Operations – Marcelo Beroiza.
Member Absent: Commissioner Grimm.
Chair Vice-President Holthaus called the meeting to order at 5:19 p.m.
President Philpot called for a motion to approve the minutes of the April 9, 2025 meeting. COMMISSIONER HICKMAN MADE A MOTION SECONDED BY PRESIDENT PHILPOT TO APPROVE THE MEETING MINUTES. UNANIMOUS. PRESIDENT PHILPOT DECLARED THE MOTION CARRIED.
Finance Reports
Director Earnest reported that Westview net revenue is still down from 2024 by $16,921.80. It is important to note that February was down by $81,380.13 below 2024, March was $42,054.43 below. We have recouped most of the February downturn. He also reported that the Marina is down $23,843.83 below 2024. He noted that there was a dredging expense this year. He reported in May the PPRT is $160,674 which is 84.74% of what was received last year.
President Philpot asked for a motion to approve the Check Register to the Full Board. COMMISSIONER HICKMAN MADE A MOTION, SECONDED BY VICE-PRESIDENT HOLTHAUS TO APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER TO THE FULL BOARD. UNANIMOUS. PRESIDENT PHILPOT DECLARED THE MOTION CARRIED.

Executive Director Frericks stated there was nothing that effects finances tonight. Public Input: None.
With no further business to discuss, COMMISSIONER HICKMAN MADE A MOTION SECONDED BY VICE-PRESIDENT HOLTHAUS TO ADJOURN THE MEETING 5:30 P.M. UNANIMOUS. PRESIDENT PHILPOT DECLARED THE MOTION CARRIED.
