Frese's office, the meeting brought together local State Representatives and Senators, as well as members of municipalities, economic development organizations, chambers, and visitors bureaus.

The meeting provided an opportunity for attendees to discuss and prioritize transportation projects that would benefit the area. Among the key topics of discussion were improvements to the existing rail infrastructure and the potential expansion of Amtrak services in the region.

During the meeting, participants also had the chance to tour the historic Washington Theatre in Quincy. This iconic landmark has been a centerpiece of the community for years, hosting various cultural events and performances.

Mayor Mike Troup of Quincy, Mayor Mike Inman of Macomb, and Mayor Pro Tem Mike Dobson of Hannibal, Mo., were among the notable participants in the gathering. Their presence highlighted the importance of collaboration between neighboring communities in addressing common transportation challenges.

Mayor Troup expressed his enthusiasm for the meeting, stating, "It's crucial for us to work together to identify and prioritize transportation projects that will benefit our residents and businesses. This corridor meeting is an excellent platform for us to exchange ideas and find common solutions."

Similarly, Mayor Inman emphasized the significance of transportation infrastructure for economic development. He remarked, "Improving our transportation networks is essential for attracting new businesses and enhancing the quality of life for our community members.
