The majority of students in Adams County schools were white in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 8,915 students attending Adams County schools, 82% were white. multiracial students were the second largest ethnicity, making up 8.1% of Adams County students.

In the previous school year, white students were the most common group in Adams County, representing 82.6% of the student body.

Quincy Junior High School and Quincy Senior High School had the most diverse student body in Adams County, including Asian, African American, Hispanic, multiracial, and white.
