Lingard Named Midwest Sprint Football Player of the Week

The Midwest Sprint Football League announced its week 5 Players of the Week on Tuesday, October 24th. Quincy University Linebacker Ray Lingard was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week.

In the QU 35-6 win over Fontbonne University, Lingard had a team high 11 tackles. He also registered 3.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Along with getting into the backfield, he also forced and recovered a fumble.

On the season, Lingard is leading the Hawks with 55 tackles (30 solo and 25 assisted). He also has 11.5 TFLs and 5 sacks.

This is Lingard's first MSFL Player of the Week award.
