Blessing proud to be on the team to fight hunger

For the fourth straight year, Blessing Health is the major sponsor of Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry’s annual Moonlight Ride for Hunger fundraiser. The event, featuring 4-or-12-mile bicycle rides across the Quincy bridges, is Saturday evening, September 10, from 5:30-10 pm in Quincy’s Clat Adams Park on the riverfront.

The Moonlight Ride for Hunger supports Horizon’s work to help those dealing with food insufficiency. Last year, Horizons served 50,000 meals, in addition to meeting the needs of 32,000 individuals who used the Horizons food pantry.

Cost to ride is $35 for those who register by September 9, and $40 to register on event day. Children 10-16 years of age ride free with a paid adult.

To register go to WGCA.org, click on the slider for Moonlight Ride for Hunger and click “sign up.”
