QU Music Department to Host Clarinet Day

Quincy University issued the following announcement on Jan. 21

Quincy University’s Music Department will host the 7th annual Clarinet Day for high school students on Friday, February 11, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Connie Niemann Center for Music located at QU’s North Campus (17th & Seminary Rd).

The exciting day will bring together high school clarinet players from around the area to form a clarinet choir.  Participants will spend the day participating in a clarinet choir, learning about the clarinet, and watching a clarinet recital. Clarinet players between the grades of 9-12 are encouraged to attend.  All abilities are welcome.  The cost is free, and meals are included. The event will culminate with a concert for family and friends at 6:30 p.m.
