Report: Central School District spent $9,611 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Central Community Unit School District 3 was up 10.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Quincy Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Adams County school district spent $8,702 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,611 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 887 to 851 students over the same period.

Central's spending in 2019-20 was 33.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
